Before: listings typed from PDFs, and gaps nobody counted
A European property marketplace (residential and commercial real estate) in 10+ countries lists thousands of homes and commercial properties. Each listing was typed in by hand from a PDF or an e-mail. When the owner left out the price or the energy rating, the field stayed empty. Buyers and tenants filtered on it and found nothing.
Typed every listing by hand
A brochure, a few photos, an e-mail thread. Each one became a listing through a form, field by field, photo by photo, before the next one could start.
≈ 20 min per property with photosChased owners for the missing data
A listing without a price or key details gets fewer requests. The rep called the owner, waited, called again. Most of the time the data was already public somewhere.
About 950 of 1,039 residential listings had no key detailsHad no coverage figure
How many listings showed a price, had photos, sat on the map at the right spot: nobody measured it. The gaps were discovered one complaint from a property seeker at a time.
Price on 65% of client commercial listings, unknown until we countedThe system: an audit, a review page, a backup, then the apply
The audit reads every listing of the client and of online agencies in one market and lists what is missing. An enrichment step finds the public value and keeps the link. A person approves groups on a review page. Only approved groups are written into the admin, after a backup.
Audit every listing
The audit scans every listing of the client and of online agencies in one market, residential and commercial, and flags the missing important data: price, key details, photos, map pins. About 950 of 1,039 residential listings had no key details (surface, floor plan, energy rating).
Find the public value
A web enrichment step looks for the missing data on public pages and keeps the link. First pass: public data for 512 listings and 1,529 fields. Second pass, the next day: 93 listings and 323 fields.
Groups, approved by a person
The review page groups the fixes by missing field, each with its proposed value and its source. A person approves a group or rejects it. On 1 October the price and key-details groups were approved and the map-pin group rejected, its sources unclear.
Backup, then apply
A backup is taken before every run. Then a browser worker writes the approved groups into the admin: 742 listings and 1,265 fields confirmed. Price shown on client commercial listings went from 65% to 92%, on online-agency commercial listings from 15% to 48%. Residential listings with key details went from 3% to 35%.
Imports and renames, the same way
Import jobs bring 10 to 24 new properties with their photos into the admin in 20 to 40 minutes. When a property group rebranded, its 21 listings were renamed in one approved run: 17 renamed, 4 created, nothing else touched.

One real run: one market, 1 and 2 October
The first full audit and apply on one market, residential and commercial. Here is the run as logged, from the scan to the second enrichment pass.
Scans every listing of the client and of online agencies in the market, residential and commercial, and flags the missing price, key details, photos and map pins.

Every listing about to change is saved as it is.
The browser worker writes the approved groups into the admin. 742 listings, 1,265 fields confirmed.
Re-check. Price shown on client commercial listings 65% → 92%, on online-agency commercial listings 15% → 48%. Residential listings with key details 3% → 35%.
Second pass. Public data found for 93 more listings and 323 fields, grouped and waiting on the review page.

Time given back
What the data-entry admins no longer do by hand. The import volume is monthly and logged. The enrichment is a one-off project, kept out of the monthly total. The minutes per listing are our estimate, shown as such.

How we estimated Estimated
- Volumes come from the import job logs and from the apply log of 2 October 2026.
- Minutes before are our estimate of typing a listing from a PDF or an e-mail with its photos, or of researching one missing field by hand. Nobody timed the old process.
- Minutes after are the time a person spends checking an imported batch or approving a group on the review page.
- Residential and commercial coverage are reported separately, never added together. The 3% to 35% is residential only.
What a person still decides
The audit proposes. Nothing is written into the admin that a person has not approved as a group.
- A person approves each group of fixes on the review page. A rejected group is never applied, whatever the proposed value.
- One listing was lost during an early step and restored from the admin. Since then every apply starts with a backup, with no exception.
- A proposed value without a public source does not reach the review page.
- Renaming a property group's listings after its rebrand was one approved run: 17 renamed, 4 created, nothing else touched.

Frequently asked questions
How can I fill missing data on my listings automatically?
An audit reads every listing in a market and flags what is missing: price, key details, photos, map pins. An enrichment step looks for the value on public pages and keeps the link. A person approves the fixes by group, then a browser worker writes them into the admin, after a backup. Here 742 listings and 1,265 fields were confirmed in one approved apply.
Does the system change listings without approval?
No. The review page groups the fixes by missing field, each with its proposed value and its source. A person approves or rejects each group, and a rejected group is never applied. On 1 October 2026 the price and key-details groups were approved and the map-pin group rejected, its sources unclear. A value without a public source never reaches the review page.
What results did the listing data audit produce?
Price shown on client commercial listings went from 65% to 92%, and on online-agency commercial listings from 15% to 48%. Residential listings with key details (surface, floor plan, energy rating) went from 3% to 35%. That last figure is residential only: residential and commercial coverage are reported separately, never added together.
What if an automated update breaks a listing?
Every apply starts with a backup of each listing about to change. During an early step, one listing was lost and restored from the admin. Since then the backup runs every time, with no exception. When a property group rebranded, its 21 listings were renamed in one approved run: 17 renamed, 4 created, nothing else touched.
Would listing data enrichment work outside real estate?
Yes, for any catalogue with fields left empty. What transfers: the coverage audit, enrichment with a link to each source, approval by group, a backup before every write and a before-and-after report. Imports follow the same logic: here, 10 to 24 new properties with their photos reach the admin in 20 to 40 minutes. The fields to check change with your business.
